Sailed in the U.S. Merchant Marine for almost 27 years as a licensed marine engineer in all positions including C/E on all
types of vessels such as general cargo, tankers, passenger ships, and large container ships. Worked for almost 7 years
as Assistant Chief Engineer in high rise critical data center. Special expertise in boilers, boiler water treatment, cooling
water systems, other marine and HVAC systems.
Currently working on a case where a longshoreman was injured on a foreign flag vessel.
January-May 2009 Worked for ART (Advanced Reliability Technologies, LLC) as Senior Reliability Consultant contracted with
Chevron to provide them with a RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) program for all their stationary and rotating equipment
in their up stream (oil fields) and refinery operations. More information about this program on request.
June-September 2008 Completed work with IRC (International Reliability Consultants) on contract to Chevron Shipping
Company. The project is building a hierarchy computer program to be used on their fleet of ships to enhance the ships'
reliability and eventually set up a Reliability Centered Maintenance Program.
August-October 2007 Completed work successfully as an Expert Witness in personal injury case that occurred in a ship's
engine room while many repairs were in progress during a major turn around.
2000-2007 Assistant Chief Engineer, Jones Lang Lasalle for Bank of America 1455 Market Street, San Francisco, CA
Building Engineer for the critical data center facility managed by Jones Lang Lasalle for Bank of America Computer Center
for all ATM’s in the Western United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. Shift Supervisor responsible for maintaining 100% Uptime
for the critical computers. Responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair for all building equipment HVAC,
mechanical, and electrical systems. Involved in RCM program which is Reliability Centered Maintenance for all building

Responsible for safe operation, all aspects of maintenance and repair, budget management, and schedule reliability of the
vessel. Work with regulatory bodies on safety inspections to keep vessel in class and insure preventative maintenance
program is kept up to date.
1980-1997 Chief Engineer M/V PRESIDENT KENNEDY American President Lines Inc
First Engineer out of the shipyard in 1989 until 1996 when promoted to Chief Engineer. As First Engineer directly
supervised crew of six in all aspects of maintenance, safe operation, and repair.
1977-1980 Sailed as Relief First Engineer for various companies out of the MEBA Hiring Hall. Responsible for safe
operation of engine rooms on a daily basis.
